An unapologetically vulnerable pioneer, Jen Ponton (she/her) is a lighthouse, currently in pre-production for her theatrical solo show, Sugarcoated.

Best known for her work on AMC’s cult hit Dietland, she has also guest starred on The Blacklist, 30 Rock, The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, Deadbeat, Orange is the New Black, Blue Bloods, Boardwalk Empire, Law & Order: SVU, + The Good Wife.

Jen landed on the map of cinema when she starred in Ash Christian’s Love on the Run alongside Frances Fisher, Annaleigh Ashford, + Steve Howey. Other film credits include Rebecca Miller’s She Came to Me + Todd Solondz’s Wiener-Dog opposite Greta Gerwig + Kieran Culkin.

She also starred in Tessa Slovis’ deeply moving Pizza Party, based on the Larry Nassar trials, which finished its festival run at Geena Davis’ Bentonville Film Festival.

As a multi-hatted creator, Jen has written and produced a number of projects that make her heart sing. From TikTok horror film Caretaker, to Sundance Episodic Lab semifinalist Queens of Daytime, to her nostalgia-core puppet sitcom, to her TEDx Talk, Jen weaves radical queer stories with unexpected main character energy.

Jen can be found regularly hosting the podcasts All The Fucks + Dreading the Boards, narrating audiobooks, + producing Brooklyn’s beloved live storytelling series, Mortified.
